My Last 5 Pins: Ms. Pink

We’re starting a new feature here to explore what pins can show you (and others!) about your taste. For instance, how great it is if you’re Ms. Pink. With a ton of pins covering her favorite interests of the moment, I asked her to explain her last 5 pins and what they mean to her:

Hello! My name is Ms. Pink and I couldn’t be more thrilled to be on the Pinterest blog today! By day, I am a Creative Marketing Director in California but in the wee hours of the night I write The Pink and Blue Blog, a lifestyle blog about food, fashion, design and, what I like to call “random bits that fascinate.” It was love at first sight last year when I participated in the “Pin It Forward” project and I have spent countless hours pinning ever since. Now just like blogging, Pinterest has become essential to my daily creative process. I hope you enjoy “My Last 5 Pins” and get a peek into what I find Pin-teresting!

1.  Departika print from Etsy. This pin reminds me to keep a balance between my work and play. For me, absence from my job really does make my heart grow fonder. I love what I do and could blog, tweet and facebook til’ the cows come home, but I also find it’s crucial that I walk away from the computer, turn off the emails and find the everyday beauty in life (but I always make time for pinning - of course).

2.  Chocolate Banana Springrolls… Need I say more? I am a sucker for sweets, and this recipe is the perfect mix of ooey gooey chocolate-y goodness.

3.  Tibi is one of those brands that just gets me! I love everything about this ensemble, from the oversized top to the perfectly washed skinny jeans. You could find me wearing this any day of the week, whether I’m shopping at the farmers market or heading out for “date night” with Mr. Blue, it’s me to a tee.

4.  Workspace from The Decorista. I’m a firm believer that the more you love your workspace, the more productive your work life will be. My work environment has to do more than function, it has to inspire. Who wouldn’t feel the creative sparks fly, perched in this geometric desk sitting under those amazing light fixtures… If I could, I would transport myself there and blog all day long!

5. Polaroid coasters from Just Noey on Etsy. I am always on the hunt for creative DIY projects, and this pin has inspired me to make Polariod Coasters at my next party. It’s the perfect way to combine entertainment and your favorite memories!  Arrange them around the room for everyone to cool their cocktails on, and then at the end of the night you have a fantastic favor or parting gift to give.
