Dwell on Design Conference
Just a shot in the dark, but if you like Pinterest, you probably like design. If so, the kind folks over at Dwell are offering Pinterest users a hefty discount on tickets to their annual Dwell on Design Conference in Los Angeles.
We’ll be at the conference as well and we’re not just excited because Dwell could probably school us on all things modern furniture.
From June 24-26th, the LA Convention Center is going to be packed with hundreds of exhibitors and awesome pieces, gadgets, and all-around pinnable stuff.
All you have to do is use the discount code PINTEREST86. This will get you $15 off Conference Plus (list price $45) and $15 off Exhibition Plus (list price $30) tickets when you purchase tickets at http://dod.dwell.com/tickets.
Meanwhile, we’ll be pinning from the floor using #dwellondesign and hope you’ll join us and Dwell’s boards, too!
NYC Pinterest “Pin-Up”

On Monday we had our first New York City Pinterest “Pin-Up” with the help of Ambre + Andrew and the good folks at Droog New York. I had already seen lots of Droog products on Pinterest, but a gallery full of their very cool stuff was the perfect backdrop for the event.
Pinterest NYC “Pin-Up” @ Droog New York

I’m braving the summer heat to head East for my cousin’s wedding (congrats, Brendan!), so we’re taking the opportunity to hold our first-ever NYC Pinterest Meetup! Ben & I had an awesome time at our “Pin-Up” in San Francisco, and this one should be just as great.
The First Pinterest Meetup. Success!

Last Friday we had the very first Pinterest meetup with the help of Victoria (sfgirlbybay), Lisa and Rena (the lovely owners of Rare Device), and the very talented artist Leah Giberson.
Pin it Forward

Next week we’re kicking off an event called Pin-it-Forward, co-hosted by sfgirlbybay.
Here’s the idea: we’re inviting 300 bloggers to create pinboards on a common theme. Each day, 10 bloggers will show off their pinboards before passing the torch to the next group. The event will take place for 30 days starting on May 24th.
