They Like Me!
Have you ever pinned something, only to see it repinned and then liked by dozens of other users. Have you ever wanted to say — “Hey I pinned that first!”
Today we’re testing a new feature to show you everyone who liked your pin after it was repinned by another user. On some of your pins, you’ll notice a little strip like this.
This & That
I always enjoy This & That, a regular feature on Oh Joy! Joy (or her talented intern Bekka) pick 2 items that share a common theme — often a color, pattern or texture. This morning, I thought of ‘This & That’ when I spotted pins from two great new boards: Ancient Et Cetera by Chris Butler and The Future by Lorrie Riley.
The left image is a print illustrating how the Ancient Egyptians perceived the universe while the image on the right is a famous image of ‘Mystic Mountain’ taken by the Hubble Telescope. With well over 200,000 pins (and thousands more everyday), I never cease to be amazed by the creativity of the Pinterest community. Check out both pinboards - you won’t be disappointed.
A Pinterest iPhone/iPad App
We’ve been overwhelmed with requests for a Pinterest iPhone / iPad application. It’s something we’re
super-excited to do. We were just trying to slot in to the long list of stuff we want to build.
A Category for Every Pinboard
We’ve just added a new feature to Pinterest: pinboard categories. Lots of people said they didn’t want to tag every pin on a board with a general topic such as food, art, or books. That’s where categories come in.
Installing the Pinterest Bookmarklet in IE 7 & 8

At long last, the Pinterest Bookmarklet now works in Internet Explorer 7 and 8. If you’re an Internet Explorer user, you have Paul to thank for digging through IE’s many idiosycracies. We also have to give a shout-out to our officemate Dan fromhttp://chart.io who lent us a PC to test.
Pinterest NYC “Pin-Up” @ Droog New York

I’m braving the summer heat to head East for my cousin’s wedding (congrats, Brendan!), so we’re taking the opportunity to hold our first-ever NYC Pinterest Meetup! Ben & I had an awesome time at our “Pin-Up” in San Francisco, and this one should be just as great.
The First Pinterest Meetup. Success!

Last Friday we had the very first Pinterest meetup with the help of Victoria (sfgirlbybay), Lisa and Rena (the lovely owners of Rare Device), and the very talented artist Leah Giberson.
The Best of Pinterest: Beta
We’re getting a lot of new pins from our early Pinners, and we love them all (really!). There are certain pins, though, that are just so great, so awesome and so creative that we thought they deserved some extra-special recognition.
