Last night at our Botanical Cocktail Cabinet event with James Wong, we learned about electric daisies, which veg tastes best homegrown and how to make delicious cocktails inspired by gardening.
Botanist and BBC TV science presenter James – who uses Pinterest for gardening inspiration (as well as Jurassic Park and workwear Pinning) – gave us the lowdown on gardening in the UK. (Our favourite tip from James: using aspirin to make tomatoes more full of vitamin C. A tip that he found on Pinterest!)
Then Elliot of The Cocktail Trading Co showed us how to create cocktails inspired by James’ favourite gardening ingredients. A firm favourite with everyone was definitely the Cucamelon Cooler in the flower pot!
Everyone who attended the night went home with their very own window box and everything they need to grow their own cocktail ingredients.
A huge thank you to everyone who came along and Elliot for the amazing cocktails… and of course a green fingered high five to James for sharing his top gardening secrets.
