It’s been an exciting week to be on the ground in the Big Apple. We hit the ground running to meet with stylish bloggers and emerging student designers who’ve contributed to our Fashion Week hub:

Be sure to follow your favorite designers on Pinterest (we’ve followed everyone!) and see snapshots from our trip here on Facebook.

Meanwhile, here’s an insider look at a few highlights from our trip.

Meet some of our top style bloggers

We couldn’t wait to mix and mingle with our fashion bloggers & savvy pinners in New York. All of them have created fashion-forward boards full of the latest styles, outfit cravings and must-see places to eat, drink and shop around town. We had a chance to chat with a few of them to get the latest scoop.

    Emily of Into the Gloss

“We love what Pinterest is doing for NYFW. It’s showcasing the industry and bringing together everyone’s experiences in a really curated way. We know a lot of our most devoted followers are avid Pinterest users, so we’re excited to keep them in the loop on what’s happening backstage this year.”

    Jessica of What I Wore

“Instead of watching the Spring and Summer Runways this week at NYFW, I’m using this time to search through Pinterest for inspiration on what I’ll wear for cooler weather this Fall.”

    Aimee of Song of Style

“I love using Pinterest to source inspiration and organize things I love, both for my full-time interior design business and for my daily outfit posts on my blog.”

Follow the next big names in fashion

Next up, we headed to Lincoln Center to see the Academy of Art University in San Francisco’s up-and-coming designers showcase their latest collections on the runway. These students use Pinterest as a source of inspiration to search everything from Belgian designers to street style to menswear looks: Leslie Dilloway, Melissa Avalos, Vicken Derderian, Shanshan Bai.

    Up and coming designers

“Students have access to a lot of images at their fingertips on Pinterest. It’s something we can really utilize in class so we can do creative work. With Pinterest, there’s another art director eye. It’s really added a depth to their research.” —Simon Ungless, Director of Fashion at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco.
